Case Studies

We are often asked about costs for genealogy and archiving. However, it is not so easy to give a blanket figure.

For example, when it comes to digitizing and archiving, scanning alone is not enough. We do not know, for example, the condition and the extent of the documents: How sensitive is the paper or is it possibly badly torn? How legible is the writing? And how should the documents be stored?
We often receive requests to additionally transcribe a scanned letter, i.e. to "translate" a handwritten document into a text document for the PC. Such details ultimately determine the exact scope and price.

With the case studies, we want to give you an idea of what and how to proceed with your documents and how best to prepare an inquiry to us, so that we can prepare an almost spot-on offer for you.
